Error on downloading applications

Hello everyone,

I wonder if you can helo me with a problem that I am having.   

On 26th May a new update was sent through and I updated.   Unfortunately my phone then crashed with a system error.   It was subsequently sent back to Nokia who have returned a reconditioned phone to me.   I had previously downloaded numerous apps on my old phone but since receiving the new (!) phone yesterday there are many apps I would like to download but keep getting an error message which says 'unable to install application packages missing:python2.5-minimal(-1maemo6=)

Please bear with me as I am definately IT illiterate and don't understand alot of the technical talk.
