Hi,I have a few questions about the N900, any help would be appreciated :

1) How do I get 3G to work??

2) How do I get multimedia mesages??

3) How do I change my alarm tune as its too quiet!?

4) Can I get a length, weight, mass, currecncy etc converter for the phone??

5) How do I use the phone as a modem.......can I use the phone as a modem??

6) In mesages, is there a "drafts" section??

7) After you go to the main menu where web, phone and clock is down the left hand side you can then click more. I have downloaded documents viewer as in word and sheet ect My question is can you put a folder in this section, I would like toput a folder in there and label it as office then drag word, sheet and slideshow into like it had on the N95???

Any help would be amazing!!Many thanks Mark

I think I can answer some of these...

1. 3G requires settings both in your phone and it needs to be turned on by your operator. Generally speaking this is done automatically these days - you buy a new SIM and it does the 3G set up magic for you - or at the very least it will leave an SMS for you to 'install settings'

2. Look for an application called fMMS.

3. Click the clock on the desktop -> Clocks & Alarms -> Hit the Clock menu at the top middle of desktop -> Alarm Settings. In there you can change tone and snooze time.

4. There is a currency converter and also QNitConverter. All in the repositories.

5. These days it'll work fine as a bluetooth modem or through the USB lead. You can also set it up to act like an access point using Mobile Hotspot

6. Kind of... If you are composing a message and leave the composition window to do something else, the content of your message will still be there when you come back to continue editing. There is no 'Drafts' folder as such. It's a mobile computer though good sir, not a phone. One could easily build an SMS application that does all the things one might more traditionally expect though. It's possible.

7. It's complicated. You can have folders with MyMenu or you can create your own by editing the config files - I believe there is also an application to do this on screen, though I've forgotten the name of it.
