Nokia N900 WIFI Problem

I Bought the Nokia N900 3 Weeks Ago and I have a problem With the WIFI at work i have a laptop and used to own the N97 and they Didnt cause any problems what so ever but with the N900 The phone can see the WIFI networks But when i try the enter any site it connects to the network but cant access anything(Browser Application Manager Weather anything at all ) and it is causing me some problems cause i need to use skype at a daily bases and it the reason i bought the N900 in the First place

does ur network has a log in page like wifi internet at colleges or starbuck??

nope it doesnt

hmm check ur wifi setting, maybe ur wifi is in power saving mode and the transmission power is not high enough as its on 10 mW as oppose to 100mW. from ur problem it seem like the n900 found ur wifi but for some reason the signal is not strong enough for it to transfer an packages etc for the web so try to change ur power setting and the transmission power of your wifi

When i start to search the nearby wifi it shows only mobile office........n after 5-10 mins when i search again it doesn't show nething not even mobile office.....because of this my file manager gets hanged,then i have to reboot it n still it shows only mobile office in wifi connections.......

Plz help me..........
